TIRED

From The Bodies Exhibit, South Street Seaport, NYC
Between working, rehearsing, and playing...I am wiped. Having a kickass time though. I saw the Bodies Exhibit this past weekend. UNBELIEVABLE. I went with a friend who is writing a futuristic play (in which I portray a nanoprobe and travel throughout a body). We learned a lot. Some of the exhibit was pretty intense. For example, these were all real bodies, and one had a fetus in it. There was actually a whole room, different stages of a fetus, a set of Siamese twins, premature babies...The display of the bodies was spectacular, you can see every muscle group, and how it reacts to motion. There was also a room with all blood vessels, which they dyed red and put under a black light, so you can see how many we actually have. The human body is a wonder. Truly. In some ways, it made be less afraid of death. I guess there was some controversy (aside from the obvious) that these bodies were all Asian. And would we embrace the exhibit in the same way if they were American? I would...cause I didn't even know that until the very end.
On a completely different note, I am seeing the Brazilian Girls tomorrow night! In conjuction with my Spanish theme. Livin' La Vida Loca!
AND my brother's wedding is this weekend in South Carolina. I am writing something for it, but the words might never come out of my mouth and I'll just shake my booty instead. :)
