Abingdon Gala 2005

Abingdon Gala 2005
It was mucho fun. Julie Halston, "The Hostess," was amazing. And was even more amazing when she introduced me as having the best dress of the evening. Best moment was when Lucy Arnez looked over and accused the piano player of using a metronome (it was actually a leak in the theatre ceiling that had been dripping the entire evening). Joanne Beretta acts a song like no one else. T. Sean Shannon came in three seconds before he was suppose to be on stage and pretty much bombed, which is sorta funny in itself. And the Piscopos rocked it out with their rendition of "New York, New York. Austin Pendleton is probably still wandering the streets (but he was suppose to be on stage). Although, of course (and you know why I say this if you know him), he made an entrance at the restaurant. The restaurant was beautiful...great food...and hardly anyone bitched about where they were seated. All in all very successful.
