Yes, folks it was a bit chilly. After a balmy holiday season in NY (and being exhausted from Christmas), I didn't even pack snow boots! That did not, however, stop us from sledding on a tube backwards down Mount Royal. It was a crazy hill and a crazy good time. After we were completely frozen, we went to a chalet and drank real hot chocolate. We actually had to put sugar in it! There were snow dogs, people cross country skiing, dumbasses sledding down stairs... and adorable little kids getting pulled along in their sleds. All of them pretty much reminded me of the little brother in "A Christmas Story" and how he couldn't stand up with all the crap that his mom put on him to go out in the snow.

The snow in Montreal was clean (not the slushy ass that you see in NYC) and the city itself was clean as you can see from this picture (a hallway leading into the subway):



That's Jan by the way. And she speaks French. Although, pretty much everyone outside the U.S. speaks English anyway. Hmm. What does that say about this country? Anyway, more pictures and posts to come on Montreal. I definitely have the traveling bug.
